So I recently bought a built DSM and unfortunately the original owner has passed away and the new owner knows very little about the car including any sorts of info on the engine build like bearing clearances and so on. I basically have to guess at an appropriate oil but I, myself, have not even had a DSM in many years so I'm kind of shooting from the hip.

Back in the day I always ran Mobil 1 Synthetic 10w30, but those were stock engines, or at least rebuilt with stock parts.

The crank is an Eagle crank, the pistons are Wieseco, it's a 2.3L, that's about all I know unfortunately.

Royal Purple is one of my personal favorites, as long as you can get over the price difference.

Is the engine turbo or N/A? This can be a determining factor, since you dont want to burn up the turbo.

It is a turbo engine. Right now it has a PTE 6766 on it and made 708hp. Soon it will have an Evo III 16G on it and make half that with any luck. Thinking about trying Royal Purple 10w40
