2.3 stroker cams

I used the old set of fp's on my 2.3 and loved the way my car felt

Duration isn't the only thing in a cam profile that aids in power production. I don't know jack shit about stroker setups though.

I've had FP2 on my 2.3 and they worked well and had lots of low/midrange, but for over 400whp on a stroker I'd recommend something bigger. I now have FP3 although I haven't dyno'ed with them yet. FP3 have long been considered to be the "stroker" cam, and I've heard nothing about good things about them. Good luck finding them though, they've been discontinued for a while. However, the Comp Cams 101300 is supposedly the same cam and those might still be available.

Kelford 272s just went 9.9 in my stroker. Its weird you asking these question and looking for this much power... People that make the power you want are seasoned veterans in the game and know what works.

Looking good, John!

I'm gonna be running hks 272's in my 2.3 stroker and I can almost guarantee I'm going to make over 550awhp. There are a lot of other things to consider besides which cams to run if you want to make that kind of power and run 9 second quarter miles. What kind of fuel (properly switching to e85 can yield more power than many cam upgrades), fuel delivery, engine internals, turbo selection, intake, drivetrain, driver skill, etc., etc..

Oh, and having a lot of horsepower doesn't necessarily equate to fast quarter mile times. Eagle h-beams have gone over 550awhp but 9 second quarter mile times, again, depends on you the driver and your set-up.

Edit: Oops, just saw that this thread is originally from 2012. Meh...
