Hey guys! Just wanted to make a post about how the car is performing on the dyno, it is being tuned by McKenzie Lange and so far it made more than I would’ve thought for low boost and 93 pump! I haven’t been able to find many auto setups like this but I know in the past there have been a few manual ones, so was just expecting the auto to eat alot of the power. Hoping for over 500 but idk if that’s realistic or not.

So far it’s just on 93oct at 20psi and it put out 377/417

Just ran into some alternator charging issue and crappy motor mounts so once we fix those it’s going on e85 hopefully in the next couple weeks and will update with the results

Mods that matter
2.3 (H-Beam, Mahle 8.5:1)
60-1 Red in 8cm Housing
GSC S2
Evo 3 intake
3in TBE
2150cc FICs

How does it shift? Mine has a shift kit, while Temps stay low it still shifts way to soft I feel.
I have full pressure shifts on all the time through the forced four TCM and it’s great other than it’s really aggressive 2-3 when just driving normally but WOT is really quick and feels great

Thanks for the reply! Mine is all stock aside from a big cooler and shift kit in the valve body. I'll have to see how long it'll hold.
I have heard they are pretty stout as long as you keep them cool, I just was dumb and went through a couple of them not realizing I was missing the pilot bushing and then had someone build me one thinking maybe the stroker was causing the issue before I finally figured that out LOL

Awesome numbers! Hey I have a question how did you figure out you were missing the pilot bushing? I went from a manual to an auto so I popped out the manual pilot bushing and just slapped my tranny to the engine. I hope I have something there.

That power curve looks absolutely intoxicating. Flat AF right up to 7500. I bet it's a riot.

You need to stop immediately and do not drive the car again until you get the auto trans pilot bushing for the crank. Otherwise the TC will eat into the fluid pump of the transmission and kill it.

volk metal craft sells a W4A33/Auto trans pilot bushing reproduction piece.

That’s exactly what my problem was, the original motor on the car spun a bearing and I didn’t think to look at the new motor (came from a manual car) to see if it was there and I kept getting an insane amount of metal in my transmission pan and I went through 3 trannies and precision/ipt converters before I finally realized that it was missing. Very expensive lesson, popped in the volk one as mentioned above and have driven it from WI to OH and about 5k miles, no issues

Oh dang I really hope I didn't damage much. That is really concerning me. I'm going to try to pull the trans tonight it still shifts good and everything. I'm really upset at myself I just took it on a 3 hour drive today.

You might’ve been able to get away with it if it still acts fine, mine would start to slowly give me more issues going into drive and start to go in and out of gear at lower speeds. I’m guessing the filter was getting clogged in my case, the bottom of the pan had a layer of gray sand in it with small pieces of metal in there. But definitely if that bushing isn’t there look into getting it cleaned out

I dropped the pan last night and I think I dodged a bullet. There wasn't anything to concerning aside from your normal layer of clutch matter on the magnets. I added extra magnets the last time I was in there. I'm hoping it's fine, I'll probably do end clutches while it's out.
