So I rebuilt my 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS 2.0 from the ground up and it started right up no issue. I then noticed the coolant was seeping out between the block and head! (the head gasket was not the exact fit) so I tore it back down to fix the issue and when starting it, it was wanting to crank and boom nothing.

I have lights on and every accessory works but the starter just doesn’t want to turn on, I’ve tested the starter and it will kick on but the ignition to starter seems to be the issue?

Anybody have any clue.

Did you check for continuity from the Ignition Switch to the Starter?

I assume since the starter engages when you jump it that you're not getting 12v to the starter solenoid from the switch. So I would get the wiring diagram and work back from the starter to the switch.
