well when i got the car
it had some shot fuses for windows nd fan, easy fix.
had a biiiiggggggg aluminium wing..... took it off as soon as i got home,.... haha
color is red, with black hood, laser body kit?? and just got the stock 1g wing panted it black to match the theme? haha just dont know what to use to hold it on there without it flying off.
bad thing has 213k on odometer.... is that too much mileage???
they replaced the head, and previous owner said the bottom end was rebuilt while they replaced the head, theres no paperwork or nothin since he only owned it for a couple months that he lived in oregon. well since i needed a car badly for work nd getting around i decided to get this talon. so far hasnt givin me any problems mechanical wise. just that the passengers window motor got jammed the day i brought it home :/
its been doin a screeching noise at start up on a chilly day or after not being on for a while... im guessing timing belt? should i deal with it before it gets worse??
oh they also welded on a muffler nd some piping. sounds to loud and kinda ricer.. not liking it... also it back fires ALOT! any tips on that??

will being doing a basic tune up next pay check.

tinting i was thinking of the pre cut outs from ebay.. any1 ever got them on there?
opinions??

well im guessing my clutch went out.. but im not sure if its that or just the bearing .. anyone know of any sgood dsm shop around the 97123 area?

You can easily do it yourself. We got my friend's transmission off in literally about 15 minutes and then had his clutch in and aligned in another 30. It took about an hour. Those 1.8s have nothing in the way at all.

My TSI has tons of shit in the way you have to disconnect to get to it. Luckily the clutch and trans were redone not to long ago.

If you weren't so far away I'd say I'd help.

oh i see, but mine is the 2.0 n/t.
i need a shop or or garage since its been raining all the time..
thanks for your help though.

Hey I remember seeing your car on craigslist. I saw it and thought "dam that thing is riced out, no one is gonna pay much for it" haha but hey it's good you bought it and is bringing it back to normal life.

The only good shop I would recomend is English Racing but they are located in washington near Portland, they work mostly with DSMs.

Oh if it's a 4g63a that is even better then. If you could make it over here you could use my garage to do it. We could even plug in my space heater. My friend has a lift we could borrow also. You might want youd probably want to bring your own tools though LOL.

This thread is all over the place. It looks like part welcome thread, part tech thread, part post count fluffing, part local help request, and some other random stuff thrown in.

If you have a specific need, then make a new thread (after searching) and post it in the appropriate forum. And in future posts, please make sure to use proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, etc.
