Since clear 1GB headlight housing LENSES are near impossible to find... and I really want to do a retrofit... THE CORRECT WAY, With this... Bi-xenon Morimoto Mini Stage III Kit (H1) - Complete Retrofit Kits from The Retrofit Source Inc
Here is what I have brainstormed:
Option 1: GO in flying HARD (like a bird erection) aka:
-Just use the oem "prizimed/angular/notclear" (not talking about yellowing here)
Anyone have any experience doing this? Is it a bad idea?
To clarify further, im not talking about the mirrored reflector, b/c im doing a retrofit anyway. Im talking about the actual lense and how the factory one is all angular on the inside, and using that with a proper retrofit kit. kapish?
Option 2: ShaveGrind like a stripper (leaning towards this, really, read below, seems possible)
-Use the OEM housing/lense from a JY or whatever
-Grind down all the angles on the inside to create a perfectly clear, smooth surface.
Has anyone ever done this? am I on the crack rock of jabralter for thinking this up? or is it really a legit idea?
Option 3, bend/warp/glue a peice of Home depot lexan in place of the factory lense.
I just thought that one up, leave the side walls on, and heat a lexan peice so it is more pliable, then bend it and glue it, let it cool...
I know, slim chance but possibly worth the try especially is #2 doesnt work out.
Im really interested in responses to 1 and 2, or alternative ideas. I dont wannt blow 300 trying to do the right thing when it turns out to be impossible.
thanks,
P.s. I know I started a very similar thread to this, a while ago, but it was heavily misinterpreted and I took substantial effort to reword and clarify this time around.

I still have a really cheap pair to try and mock up a mold. I found that thread a while back looks easier than sanding too.
