My 92 Talon's low beam settings are insanely dull and I find myself often wondering if they're even on. I've wondered a few times what this apparent "block" is in the middle of my headlight, seemingly right in front of the bulb (it's on both headlights). Is this normal? Any tips on getting low beams that exceed 1 candle power?

Thanks folks!

All low beams on cars have a shield in front of the bulb to cut down glare so other drivers dont get blinded. How do your headlights look condition wise ? Hazed up? You can try restoring them so theyre crystal clear again. Also try a brighter bulb such as sylvania silverstar.

I have hid 8000k. Also have my headlights tinted with headlight film. My vision is fine. Your light looks a bit hazy. Take some 800 to 1200 grit wetsand and get to work. Then u can take some rubbing compound to make it look new

They're looking hazy because they were covered in about 18lbs of Canada's Finest winter mud when I took the shot! But thanks for the thought, I'll clean them off and see if they're starting to haze.

Currently have Sylvania XTRAVISIONs in there and really, no bueno.
