I tried researching this but couldnt find a clear answer. A yes or no answer will do but any othe information is great. Is changing the rotors on a 1ga to a 1gb a direct bolt on or are there some modifications needed?

Just the rotors. Unless I need to change the calipers also, I need to know what parts im gonna need to complete the project and couldnt find it anywhere.

Help please:D

I did mine as one of my first mods. That was about a year ago, but I believe the only thing I had issues with was bleeding the brakes. As I recall everything bolted up without any issues.
And before putting them on, I painted them shiny black so they looked nice.

In the vfaq it said I would need these two parts. what are they exactly?

"hub-to-caliper mounting brackets, shimming hardware"

It also says that I cant do the same for the rear brakes. what other options do I have for this?

You will need this bracket to mount the 2-piston calipers to the hub and the shims and clips that go on the back of the pads when you install them. Everything bolts up you just need 2-piston calipers, hub-to-caliper mounting brackets, shimming hardware, brake pads and rotors that you can get off any '93+ DSM AWD, '91+ non-turbo Dodge Stealth / Mitsu 3000GT, or '92-'96 Mitsu Diamante.

If you want bigger rear brakes your goin to have to go with an aftermarket kit

thanx for clearing that up for me. What about the rear brakes is it true I cant change those as well?

NP, The rear brakes are different on the 3000gt/stealths they dont fit without modding. This is a pic of my 93 big brake upgrade.

looks really good! So what did you do for your rear brakes. Did you just use drilled and slotted OEM replacements?

Thx, I just used normal rotors in the rear because I did them before I went with the big brakes.

I'm gonna look for some OEM sized drilled and slotted rotors. Any other bits of advice before I take on the project? And thanx for all the help!

And one more question. It's completely out of left field. I just bought a cat back exhaust. I know I need a downpipe as well but do I need a high flow cat (or test pipe)?

Yeah I remember trying to get the rotors off my maxima to go get them cut. Pain in the rear!!:beatentodeath:

Depending on which downpipe you get determines if you need a cat/testpipe because some DPs eliminate the cat/testpipe and some allow to use one but make sure flanges match tho

Just helping a fellow DSMer out hope your upgrade goes well.
