So I was wondering how y'all setup y'all's s90 or if there is a process. On top of that how y'all dial in a constant idle.
For reference I bought the s90 used and resealed it and got it welded for v-band. When I first started to try and get the car to start she would crank but not start. Eventually I figured out it was the screw on the s90 that opens the throttle plate. So I would adjust that out and she'll want to start. What I'd do is adjust that main screw out till she would idle around 1300 then adjust the BISS to get her to around 1k but then she would want to die out.
in my map table I have my idle range VE set to around 40-43. She's on 91 so the AFR on the gauge would read 14.1 or so. So I felt like that would be where it wants to be. I have 280 cams so I've heard some people idle around 1200 but I've heard others say they idle around 700-800.
Some more information I've tried two map sensors. my Omni 4 bar which would read -8 with key in ignition. then I got a GM 3 bar but that reads 4 with key on. another thing I noticed is that the car will surge at 2k rpm. but if I drop the idle it no longer surges.
My theory is that I have a very slight vacuum leak when at higher RPMs possibly my break booster vacuum line or one of the others. I worry that I have an over voltage or possibly something wired incorrectly to cause the map to read positive pressure but I'm not sure I bout everything new and used ECMTuning's MAF to MAP translator and flex fuel harness set up. I'll send a log ASAP but my last data cable failed so I had to order a new one.
If anybody has any idea what my issues could be that would be great. if y'all have more questions to ask I'll provide as much information as possible.
