1g turbo to 1g non turbo are parts interchangable?

i have 1990 LASER 2.0l nonturbo and it has a cracked exhaust manifold. I found a 1992 laser turbo for sale that is cheap but doesnt run. I have a few questions in regards to interchanging the parts (1) Will the exhaust mani from the turbo laser fit the nonturbo? (2)also will the front steering assembly parts fit? i also have my 95 eagle talon tsi, (3) and was wondering if the aftermarket bov from the turbo laser will bolt right onto my 1995 eagle talon, or do i need a different bracket or anything? (4) how about the stock turbo from the 92 laser? would it be a direct bolt on or do i need to modify anything first....im very foggy when it comes to what parts can be swapped between the different models. thanks for the help!!

If you search you should be able to find all the answers to your questions.

Stock turbo on a 92 laser manual would be a 14b, I'm sure you've heard of it before.. It would require an install kit to install onto your 95 talon. The n/t talon is going to come with "headers" instead of an exhaust manifold, meaning it won't have a place to bolt your turbo up to, so you're not going to be able to interchange a n/t "header" for a turbo "exhaust manifold" and vice versa. I'm sure the steering assembly will be the same between the two cars. What type of aftermarket BOV is on the laser? You might need a flange onto your intercooler piping to install it. Hope this helps, and as always if I've made a mistake on anything someone feel free to correct me.

ok so lemme get this straight. I cant take the good exhaust mani from the 1992 TURBO laser, and bolt it onto my 1990 NT laser that has a cracked mani? the reason im confused is ive seen pics of turbo exhaust manifolds and also had the original exhaust manifold from my laser crack before....and they appear to be the same in pictures...(maybe not its been like 7 years since i replaced it the first time) ive never heard of it being called headers before.....but maybe i've been confused about it the whole time!???

1) yes they will fit the head, but you will need to do a turbo swap due to the headers on the n/t going straight to the exhaust, your turbo manifold needs turbo o2 housing downpipe then it goes to the exhaust.

2)I believe so if there the same body style (you may want to double check with the search button)

3) no, you will need the flange on the intercooler pipping to match the bov, you can check ebay and get the one you need fairly cheap.

4) it is a direct bolt on, but you will need the turbo manifold intercooler and piping and all turbo related parts and you will need new pistons due to the high compression your n/t has. you'll need turbo pistons other wise you can run low boost 7-10 safely.

Ok, I think I got it. Btw I'm not trying to make my nt laser into a turbo'd one, I'm just trying to get it fixed up enough to sell it. Where can I find used "headers" for my nt laser online? (Since they want like 4-5 hundred at our auto wreckers for it.)

If you're just looking for a band-aid to sell it quick, you could cheap-out and get an ebay header. You might also be able to score one at a local junkyard for <$100.
