2G 1g Throttle body in a 2g

Okay so my issue is this, I picked up a 1g NA tb not to long ago, and realized just now that the fmic elbow that bolts to the stock 2g tb isn't going to work giving the design of the na 1g tb with the extended tip, so.

How do you make those work?

You can either grind the 1g throttle body flat and bolt up the elbow, or cut the flange off your elbow and get an appropriate coupler.

And hopefully you bought an NA throttle body that has been rebuilt with turbo shaft seals installed or else its not going to work very well when you get it installed

And keep in mind that bolting a 1g throttle body up to a 2g manifold that hasn't been ported is useless. The bore sizes are different.

I'm on an evo 3 intake manifold, do I still need to port the evo3 or should it be fine? And I was planning on getting it rebuilt with new seals and all that good stuff before it gets put on the car!

Just make sure to double check, the Evo 3 should already be the same size as the throttle body. If you got an RVR intake (looks very similar to Evo 3), you might need to port it a bit.

Definitely rebuild it. Don't want to install it to find the shaft seals leak.

1g thottle body diameter is the same as EVO3 intake manifold, the RVR intake manifold I'm unsure.
