Hi guys, I've got a 93 tsi, and the throttle body shaft seals are no good and I've got a pretty big boost leak there. In my efforts to rebuild it, I managed to strip out one of the screws holding the shaft to the plate. I'm out at my apartment at college and don't have the capabilities to get this screw out. However, I do have access to a 2G Throttle body with good shaft seals. I'd like to get by on it till I can get home for Christmas break and rebuild this1G throttle body, as it has a bigger bore.
I noticed that the closed throttle sensor is replaced by a fourth pin on the TPS in the 2G, will this be read by my ECU? Also, what do I do with the 4th vaccum line that goes atop the TB? should I just block it off? And finally, I did notice that the coolant lines running to the TB are just a tad loose on the 2G and don't seal up right. Is there any way around this? I know I could "delete" the coolant to the TB, but I'm not too sure if that's something you should necessarily do. Any input on that would be appreciated.
In short, can my 2G throttle body go on a 1G tsi?
Thanks so much

). It still smokes some, gas smoke. I know the plugs are fouled as hell from how it was running before, so I'll replace the plugs and check for another leak cause I'm sure there is one and go from there.
