Found a great deal on a TB. Its off a 1g turbo. Are these plug n play? Can I use my isc,tps etc and swap it out?

Why is this rarely or almost never done then? Seems like this would be a good mod or is more of the velocity vs. Volume type thing like the 1g vs. 2g head?

It is actually somewhat common to throw a 1g throttle body on a 2g intake. IT has been done thousands of times. The only thing that has to be done is to port the hole in the flange to the size of the bore of the tb. And swapping the 2g tps onto the 1g tb. Without doing so would create a lot of turbulence. A quick google search would show this. RREs  Eclipse 2G Turbo 1G Throttle Body Swap

This is not a performance upgrade. Actually the PO put jbweld in the BISS so i cant get my ISC numbers down. The only real reason im doing it is cause when i turn my ac on the car stumbles. Getting the isc numbers right (having a working BISS) will give it more room to compensate and adjust rpms up. But thanks, i will port it if necessary. Is it more or less restrictive than a 2g TB?

Awesome, kill 2 birds with one stone(for $20 too!) Better flowing TB and a working BISS, life is goooooooooood

Got the TB. Looks great. Only difference is the ports on top(no big deal my evap is history anyway) and the idleswitch. Its different than the 2g so ill just swap in my TPS so i dont have to wire anything in extra. BISS actually works!
My stock 15yr old radiator blew the neck apart yesterday after a drive so as soon as i get the new dual core in, i should have a very steady idle, even with the ac running. Cant wait for the next thing to break. These cars take like 300 a month in parts, i swear. Its never ending. Makes me question how well they were built to begin with. My 99 expedtion has 205k on it and hardly anything is wrong with it. Never any major failures(knock on wood)
