2g throttle body in 1g

I have a 90 talon with a 6 bolt/2g head. I had the 90 TB on the car but it was a massive leak. When I put my 2g one on it, it ran perfect, but I don't have the TPS hooked up. Is there any way I can hardwire a 2g sensor into the 90 sensor to make them work?

You have to convert to 91+ style connectors and just bolt the 1g TPS onto the 2g TB.

Why can't I use the 2g TPS and just take a 2g connector and hardwire it into the 90 harness?

Also I don't know if you are worried about performance any, but the 2g is like 8mm smaller in diamater.

I'm running a 2g head with a 2g intake manifold so it shouldn't be a problem there

Where was the leak on the 1g TB?

A small part on the 90 TB came down farther then the 2g manifold did(if that makes sense)

Also, I dont know how you would mount the Idle stop switch...

You have to convert the connectors or you could hardwire it but thats always risky.

First off, why would you even put on a 2g intake manifold and 2g throttle body ? Both are smaller than the 1g pieces, that's just a downgrade in itself. Get a cheap 1g tb on ebay and connect the 2g elbow and if you can get a 1g intake mani and slap that back on as well. Unless you really don't care about making power... Just my .02 on it.

You could hardwire it but i wouldn't recommend it. And FYI a 1g intake manifold would work fine on a 2g head with a little porting on the runners on the head to match up. Research my friend.
