1g throttle body elbow...

hey guys I have a blowthrough set up on my dsm and the cuppler on the elbow keeps popping off. The top or bottom lip keeps getting sucked into the elbow and the car stahls. Other than that she runs perfect. I tried doubling up on clamps and I even tried t-bolts... ### should I do? Is welding a beaded ring on the elbow an option?

Yes, you can weld a bead on the elbow and that should help you out. Are you using quality couplers?

Home depot couplers would be considered "bad" couplers.

welding a bead should cure your problem but i stress the issue of DOING IT RIGHT. last thing you want is to throw some nasty booger welds on it and tear up couplers.

Is there a large gap between the pipes? If the pipes are butted up against one another theres very little chance of having the coupler cave in on itself, that or the coupler is over one end more then the other... Try centering it? If you can't get the pipes closer together, or a longer coupler, you're only left with putting a bead in it. If you must ghetto weld it put as nice a bead all the way around it you can, then if you have access to a bench grinder, grind the bead down some, while spinning the elbow constantly so that it evens out and makes it a smooth lip..

You do not want the pipes right up against each other though. And with a proper coupler, there should be no chance of it 'caving in on itself.' I would suggest making sure you have a proper coupler (as turbosax2 listed before) and then if you're still having problems, get a nice bead welded on and make sure it won't cut/rip your coupler.
