1G Talon tsi vaccum hoses ( right side )

so my car dosent have the charcoal canister along with all the other emissions stuff, i jsut bought it and i guess i dont want the hassle of finding all this crap and putting it back together since i dont care about it.

my question is this...there is some vaccum hoses hooked up on the right side of the firewall right on top of the brake booster. what are those exactly and can i remove them? 2 of those hoses go under the intake manifold and some on top behind the fuel rail. im doing a clean up on the engine bay and im wondering if i can ditch theses hoses along with the electronic devices its hooked up to...( on the firewall )

i mostly want info on what it does thanks!

If you're talking about the vacumm lines I think you are, they are the ones attached to the fuel pressure solenoid and the purge control solenoid valve. Neither one is vital and if you've already had the charcoal canister removed then the purge control solenoid isn't doing any good now any way. The other one helps with hot starts and vapor locks, I removed both mine from the vacumm system, 1. to tidy up as I removed the emmision crap and 2. to reduce vacumm leaks. I've not had a days probelm with them removed.

just to make sure... you are talking about those vac lines on the belt side of the engine right? they hook up into some sensors and also one is hoocked up to the tip of the fuel rail....

i also have one last question for ya...there is 2 little plastic nipples atached to a somewhat looking sensor on the thermostat housing.... there not hoocked up to anything...im asuming it was part of those 20 vac lines from emisions? should i plug it up or leave it?

You don't want the take the vacuum hose going to the end of the fuel rail off. That's the fuel pressure regulator and it needs a pressure source. You could bypass the solenoid and run that hose straight to the intake manifold for the pressure source if you really wanted to get rid of the solenoids (mine are still there).

The plastic nipples near the t-stat housing were part of the emissions system. Take a short vacuum hose and just loop it on those two nipples.
