i have a surge and i am sure it is the IAC but should i hook back up those vacuum hoses and can anyone tell me where they all go i tryed to look at the diagram but couldn't tell thanks
 
no i am sorry i didn't make that clear i mean the four hoses on the intake manifold i need to know where they go :thumb:

I assume you mean the Throttle Body :confused:

There should be an emmissions sticker on the underside of your hood with a vaccume line diagram, also one in the Tech Section or just consult a Haynes/Chiltons manual.

Each OEM vacume line has a different stripe (Yellow, Red, Green..etc) so clean the hoses off first with some solvant and then consult one of the above.

BTW.. with my EGR valve disconnected/blocked off I get a bobbing idle that settles down after a few cycles, but with it connected it idles perfectly :dsm:
