Looking for a catback for my 92 talon tsi awd. I want a exhaust with a tip that comes as close to straight out as possible. Can you guys direct me in the right direction, and pictures of such setups would be greatly appreciated. I searched for awhile, but couldnt come up with a solid answer.

My dejon on my 92 hangs a little at an angle but looks and sounds awesome.

Try thermal, VRS, Kteller, or apexi.

Seriously dude, i know looks are important, but so is quality and price.

My dejon looks effing amazing and sounds awesome.

Without a doubt youre correct. But I hate some of these exhausts with the drastic angles. Oh and staticbrainwash, could you possibly take a pic or two of your exhaust? I'm having a really hard time deciding which exhaust I want.

Buy some piping and flanges, a muffler you like. Rent a mig welder for a day and you can make your cat-back for most likely under $150.

Here's a few pics from the exhaust around march i think. For what it is and how well it help up to Michigan winter, it's totally worth it. And it was less than 500 shipped to my door, for DP and catback.

I'll just link to the photobucket, they're way huge and i don't feel like resizing them all.

well, i also discovered i'm missing 4 out of 9 exhaust manny bolts. So my spool isn't great to begin with. With that said though, it helped bring is back down to a resonable level and gave a nice boost in power. (according to the butt dyno)

Once i get my manny fixed and replaced with my ported 2g, and ported 2g o2, my spool should be crazy.

I'd try to get sound clips, but i don't have a way to do it. But my buddy with a 1g stealthTT had 3" dual exhaust with magnaflows, and mine sound's like a smaller version of his. And if you've ever heard a stealth with exhaust it's effing mean.

I'm not diggin that dejon, looks empty from the rear, if you know what I mean. So I'm looking at the thermal, and VRS as of now, do the 1g Apexi's angle off?

EDIT: Do you think the dejon would look better if I shortened the mounting hangers?

Ya i've got a 2g mani, evo o2, and 14b that I ported myself, along with a 3" dejon dp, and 3" custom catback w/ test pipe. Yet my spool still seems a bit slow. I get full boost (10psi at the moment, clutch cant hold any more :() by 2900-3000. I don't know but it seems a bit slow to me.

New clutch, or you might have another problem. Boost leak test and get a new clutch.

And yeah, i think the dejon would look much better shortened on the hangers. I've been thinking about that myself. I dunno, i was talking to Dave from dejon for a while about it, so he might have solved the 1g exhaust issues. I have a feeling it was built for a 1ga not 1gb, because the 1ga doesn't have the cutout but has the same size bumper all the way across.

Just email him about it, because honestly, for the price it's a good damn deal. And the install was a snap.

I believe the APEXi cat-backs are mildly angled. They sound deep and punchy though. I have an N1 muffler on my car. 3" stainless all the way back.

How loud is it? Any issue getting it inspected? Have you been pulled over for it?

If you're talking about my dejon exhaust, yes, it's very loud. But nice deep tone and real balls to the wall throaty on WOT.

I don't get inspected every in MI so i don't have to worry about that. And honestly, Even after leaving a bar at 2am going WOT I don't even get head turns from cops. My town is filled with douches in hondas, ws6's, and mustangs who all think they're awesome. They're not looking for my little red tearing down the street. Which surprises me, because cops have pretty much nothing to do here.

Yea, my next step is a new clutch, and I'm doin another leak test this weekend. Although I did one a month or so ago and didn't find any. Oh well, clutch, timing belt tune up and gm maf/maft, and then I'm done with the car. I'm already looking for a new/different car for a new project.
