Hey guys,
I thought I would throw a post up. My 1g is ready to be started for the first time. Here is a brief history.
I bought a new 1g shell when someone rear-ended me and totaled my car. I swapped my motor into the shell. Everything is buttoned up and ready to start.
Now, the battery in the shell is dead. I am trying to prime the motor and start the car using jumper cables.
Here is the issue. When I go to start, I only get a clicking noise from the MPI (by the ECU, under the dash). No cranking, nothing.
I've read bad ECU, but I sent my ECU to Steve on the forums to fix for me (He did a great job BTW) so I don't think it's that. Also I've read that it should be bad connections at the battery terminals...
Just wondering what you all have to say about it to help me get it started. Should I be using a fully charged battery? Is that the reason, not enough juice?
Thanks,
Scott
