I want to replace the the leaky cylinder head on my 98 GST, but i dont know whether to use a 1g or 2g head. I have read that the 1g head flows better than the 2g but it seems to require a lot more work to replace than just replacing it with a 2g, and i cant afford any downtime with my car because its my only means of transportation.
Also, how many times can a head be machined? i had my head machined about a year ago with a rebuild, if i can just have it machined again, i think i will just do that.

use the 2g head. send it to RRE and have them port the shit out of it. I like the 2g cause it flows more coolant.

Fook that. Im still pissed that i had Mits replace all my valves, deck and mill the head and clean everything. all for about 900 with install. The day i got it back my friend told me that one of his friends was selling a stage 3 head for a 2g. Fully ported, HKS cams, new valves, springs, retainers, revised lifters, and adjustable cam gears for 600. Boy was i pissed.

Ok forget RRE, search around for another shop that might be cheaper or within your budget, but ill promise you this. Nobody will do as good as a job as RRE. Not even Tab**, or *J's Cylindar Heads ! HAHAHA, im sorry i just couldnt resist! ROFL
