1g head or 2g

i have a 6bolt on it with a 2g head. My friend is parting out his 91 6bolt. Both motors have stock heads. Which gen heads are known to be better 1st or 2nd, and would it be worth it to buy his head (if its condition is a good as my 2ghead) and put it on my motor?

well the 1g head flows more. If you planned on building a motor i would just build that 1g head up and then put it on.
