1g or 2g head?

On a 2g the ports are smaller and give better low end torque but suffer up top because of restriction. Where as the higher flowing 1g head will make you lose some low end torque but will have nice gains up top.

1g heads have a poor angle to the valve whereas the 2g heads are pretty much a straight shot, and although the intake runners are smaller they give the 2g head better volumetric efficiency because the Velocity of the incoming air and fuel is increased

The HP increase from a 2g head to a 1g head is from the Slightly larger cams and better flowing factory intake manifold.

hope this helps out some with your debate
