I continuously have massive boost leaks where the intercooler coupler joins the tb and can't seem to fix it. How are you guys sealing this? For those of you that don't have leaks there, how wide is your t-bolt clamp? (I'm thinking mine is too wide. It's 3/4" wide.) Does anyone have any tips for me to make a better seal? (I've tried hairspray, which didn't work.)

I just tighten it down, are you sure the coupler isn't cracked or too large of a size?

It's not cracked. As for the size, it seems to be a nice snug fit. I can go out and measure its ID. Do you know what it should be, or do you have a link to a site that sells the one you have?

I just measured it. It is 2 3/4". It feels like it could be a little tighter after the lip.

I just confirmed that the t-bolt clamp itself and tightness are ok. (I actually just ruined a t-bolt clamp by trying to tighten it too much.)

Can someone provide a link or proper size of 90 degree coupler needed for this? I'd like to see if mine is the right size.

Just got to Jegs or Home depot or Lowes & compare. Should give you a better idea than an internet link.

It should take a bit of work to squeeze the correct size on. If it just slips on, its too loose or very close to it. :hmm:

Just use a tape measure on the tb.

Using a tape measure itn't really helpful since the fit is very close. It does slip on with minimal effort, although a tiny bit is required. They both seem to be right around 2 3/4". Maybe I'll just call one (or several if necessary) of the venders and see if they have any input.

I've just ordered 2.75" couplers without issues on any I've used. The tbokt is a 2.75 as well?

Let me know if I can be any more help, dial caliper measures our 2.75" 90 at 2.7." Unfortunately no n/t TB's here to test it on.

So my coupler is exactly 2.75". From outer lip of tb to outer lip, it is also exactly 2.75". However, once past the bead roll, the tb is slightly less than 2.75". (Not sure how much since I am using a tape measure.) There is a tiny bit of play in the coupler once it's on past the bead roll, so I think I need something a little smaller. I'm not sure what size this would be since a 2.5" is way too small. I'll do some more searching and post any findings.

Fixed ghetto style: electrical tape. I wrapped it around the tb neck to make the coupler fit more snugly and it worked!

Thanks for the help guys.
