Hey whats up i have 1 Q is the 1g throttle body really better? if so how much HP are we talking about ? thanks :talon:

The 1G TB is alot better. It is 60mm compaired to 52mm. On an stock car there not be much HP noticed but when youhave a car with 350+ then there will be a differance. Also most people run 2.5" piping and the 60mm TB is perfect for that.

Im not going to lay any claims of hp from it, but back when my old gst had the t25 on it and only a few other mods I put a 1g tb and ported the manifold opening as well. And let me tell you the difference was worth every penny. granted I didnt get 50hp or even 25hp but still the car pulled a good bit harder, and seemed to add a few rpms onto the t25s power(maybe just a figment...). All I can say is if you have the means to port out the manifold opening, and have a few hours to do this I would recomend it. Heck Im going to put one on my stock gsx a/t.

I just did the 1G tb on 2g manifold. The difference is definately noticeable. I logged a before and after run with the DSMlink....I didn't see a change in max airflow but I did see midrange LB increase as well as my 60-90 time decrease. It was a worthwhile mod.

The advice will give you is to use RTV to seal the TB to the manifold as well as the TB to the elbow. I didn't do this the first time around and even with new gaskets from NAPA I had two major boost leaks. I had to tear it all apart again and use RTV.

After setting the TPS and BISS the car started right up and had perfect idle.

This entire quoted post sounds like it came straight from me.
This is identical to my results(logged by DSMlink) and using the RTV....LOL

Does this mod bolt right up? Do all the lines hook right up? I have the 1g throttle body but am hesitant to put it on because I didn't know if it would work properly. Also can you explain TPS and BISS a little more in detail?
