Anyone have experience with a Hyundai throttle body on a 1g? I have a guy getting me one if i can use it, its suppose to be much larger then the stock dsm one. tps the same? the same as 90 or 91:confused:+???

^What?

How does an intake manifold bolt up to both a 1g and a 2g?

I mean it will probably bolt on to both but it should only work with one or the other and not both because the intake ports on a 2g are smaller which kind of makes a problem.

Also bigger isn't always better in intake manifolds. The evo3 intake manifold has much shorter runners and is dimensionally smaller (similar runner diameter) than the 2g manifold but flows better and the 1g manifold is also larger than the 2g manifold (bigger runner diameter and tb inlet) but has reduced velocity.

It would be interesting to see more information on this manifold.

As The Mork said i don't see this working on both 1g and 2g head. plus what joyfil2001 said with out some port blending it would probably cause a lot of negative turbulence. Would be cool to see what kind of power is capable with the Hyundai IM. Was the Hyundai throttle body from a turbo charged system? or just N/A?

My guess is that this IM will fit a 1g head just fine and that the ports will be as close as 1g ports but I would hesitate to guess whether there would be any gains from it. The idea that you can put a larger throttle body on it is all well and good but 60mm throttle bodies will get you to some pretty serious power before they become a restriction and without some testing who can say if the manifold flows better.

If this was a big power adder I think it would be more common but I just don't know. It is certainly cheap enough to get one and put it on for some quick airflow logs and if I had a 1g I might consider it but I am in fact a 2g owner who already owns an evo3 manifold.

Anyone know which motor this came off of though? I seem to remember that there were Hyundais running around with Hyundai blocks and what amounted to n/t 1g 4g63 heads on them.
