1g intake pipes, routing, I am lost

Hi all.


I have an embarrasing problem. My car has been sitting on my garage for quite a long time now, and I have been making all the maintenance possible the past six months, in order to return to the streets. (Belts, fluids, all kind of rubber inspections and repairing a few wires).

Now, I am installing back all the intake pipes, and I am very very lost.

I have checked the taboo shop vacuum diagram, but it doesn't help me in anyway.

The vacuum operated valve attached to the filter, what it is?
On big pipes, it connects IC exit with engine intake, that's something I know for sure, but, it has a vacumm port, and a medium hose port. Where does the two go?

The electrical operated valve attached to the filter, what it is? where does it plug?

I have a rather small (But not vacuum size) pipe coming from the intake side of the engine, it passes beetween cam cover and intake mani. ¿Where does it goes?

Where does the valve cover pipe goes?

The intake pipe (Filter to turbo) has two plugs/holes on it. What plugs in there?
And what plugs into the filter vacuum port?

And how do I connect wastegate actuator?

I think I am missing something on the big picture.
Please note I have no EGR or cannister

The "electrical operated valve" is the boost control solenoid I'm pretty sure. It goes between the compressor housing and the waste gate and t's to the vac source in the filter can. This one:

You wanna cap that one off^ and connect your wastegate like this(this is also answering your "how to connect wastegate solenoid question")

Straight from the turbos compressor housing, or shortly there after (j-pipe) directly to the wastegate:

That will give you wastegate boost pressure. If you have a mbc you want in to go from the turbo to the controller, to the wastegate:

It all looks a little different for you because I am externally gated, but the concept is the same, only your waste gate is below the turbo inlet rather than by the power steering pump.

The two nipples on the intake pipe are for your charcoal canister(iirc) and your valve cover breather. Cap one of them since you deleted the canister and run the other one to this spot on your valve cover(I had mine welded closed but yours is in this location)

You can run a catch can in between there if you want to keep things clean.

Ya pics would help us help you! Im thinking you mean the BCM. If you cap the little intake nipple and delete the BCM you gain a few extra psi of boost pressure. But in any case, get those pics on here and we'll work from there.

Please note, that I want to run the setup the most stock way possible. Later on, I will install the MBC, but I am afraid of unexpect behavior. Extra safety is welcome.

Short side to Filter, long side to Tee? There is a picture of the T vacuum coming from ¿ J pipe? Is it correct that name? Should the other end, connect to wastegate actuator on turbo?

Here is the hose from the top valve cover, it is quite a bit long to go in the Filter to turbo pipe, or is it just ok?

I believe that would be your BOV if it looks anything like this

and it connects to the 6mm nipple that sticks out of the middle of your intake manifold.

Or is he talking about the solinoid?, electrical plug on it and it slides into the bracket on the filter? Just eliminate it.

Is this the valve limiting boost to 18PSI?

No, that is your Blow Off Valve. Yes, that tube (hose) goes to the smaller nipple of the BOV. The valve that limits the boost is bolted to the turbo. The solenoid on top of the filter bleeds part of the boost back in your intake past the MAF.

Just I have an open on the Filter to turbo piping. I had also 4 unused ports on throthle body. I have put caps on them (Diesel end injector cap)
