Re-Routing IC Pipes

Got a custom intercooler and I figured that I can re route the pipes in order to make a straight line from the trottle to the exit of the intercooler.

My question is, what diameter should I use for the new pipes ? Im using the stock T25 but in the near future Im going to upgrade. Will re -routing my pipes into a straight line cause any noticeable turbo lag on my t25 ?

Lag is how long the turbo takes to spool. The intercooler is after the turbo, so it wont really effect spool.

Turbo spool time also has to do with the volume of air it needs to presurize in the intercooler and pipeing, not just the size of the turbo/engine.

I would use 2.5" pipe and if you can make short route fit then by all means do it, but sometimes long route is the only way to make it fit.
