1g ecu to evo 3 engine

How do you intend to get the engine to fit in your n/t?

European 2G NT cars got 4G63's instead of 420A's. Too bad for the rest of us.

Another option is to run with an EVO VIII ECU.
To use a 1G ECU it would be best to make an adapter harness rather than hack off the current plugs.

Does anyone have the service manuals for the European 2G's? I don't and have no idea what the current wiring harness looks like. I suspect it's real close to the US Domestic turbo cars but I expect some differences.

No it works I’m sure he had it in his car
That isn't what I meant. It won't work because it's completely different, the plugs are different and it uses a different OBD setup. 2g may be harder to find but you'll have a better time if you do this instead of trying what you're stating. Can it be done? Yes. Should you try it? No.

@TasosEclipse
As @steve @pauleyman @red_devil said, if you want to use the 1g ecu you have then the best way is to make a jumper harness. but I am not sure if your 1g ecmlink came with a 2g cable. If not, you have to buy one. 1g and 2g have a different OBD port.
The easiest and the cheapest way is to sell your free 1g ecu with ecmlink module then buy a 2g ecu with ecmlink.

FYI, EVO-3 stock pistons are problematic. So try not to boost a lot. I recommend you to overhaul before you mount the engine. Especially check the piston ringland if pistons are the stock.

@red_devil It is very depending on how you use and tune the car but Yes, it was a very common issue back in 90s in Japan. That's why Mitsubishi lowered CR with EVO-4 because many EVO-3 owners claimed about that. Even Mitsubishi car dealer recommended to some customers to use EVO-2 pistons at that time. So with EVO-3 owners In Japan, it is very very common to swap pistons when they buy an EVO-3, mostly swap to EVO-2 to lower the CR or go for EVO-5~9 pistons since they say it is hybrid piston. So if it is imported from Japan, there is a lot of possibilities that has pistons swapped already. And is difficult to find damage on ringland since 4g63 can run well even it has ringland damaged slightly.

I have a gtx3071 I am running 1.5bar for the last year and I have no problem I tuned it my self with ecmlink but I want all the other features. Thanks for your replays
Wait a minute you already have ECM link? You post about it earlier this year also. What is it that you're trying to do? If you just need to upgrade ecmlink then purchase the upgrade. It sounds like you have the light version and you want the full version.
