ya i have a laser n/t and it was running a little rich. so we changed injectors old ones were so dirty.but now with the new injectors it is running way rich and is misfiring. the new injectors are tubo ones but i thought it would run the same, i also have both sets of injectors have cracks in them so if someone no how to . fix them it would be awsome thanks sorry for the grammar been working at the shop since 8 thanks
 
There is a difference between the injectors for a turbo and non-turbo, the turbo ones are a bit bigger. What is cracked on the injectors? Just the pintle caps? Because you can buy rebuild kits for them. Are the spark plugs fouled? That could cause a misfire and when you run rich it will foul them fast. You need to get air/fuel management (controller) and adjust the air/fuel ratio. Had a similar problem on my Eclipse. I would suggest that if you don't have anything to adjust the air fuel ratio with with (i.e. dsm link...)switch the injectors back to stock, or it will run rich. (NGK {BPR6ES} spark plugs are best for DSMs). Or just fully upgrade the intake system.
 
The turbo ones are a lot bigger. Depending if the turbo was an 1G automatic or a manual (or any turbo 2G) the injectors are either 390cc or 450cc low impedance injectors and a 2.0L NA would have 240cc high impedance injectors and if you had a 1.8L it only has 210cc high impedance injectors.

The impedance difference means you could burn out the injectors or ECU drivers if you didn't also add the turbo car's injector resistor pack to your injector wiring.
 
k k thanks guys but how and where can i get a injector rebuild kits as new injectors cost a bunch and the shop just got open so no money thanks guys and the crack are like. around the casing so i dont know if i could just still use them or are they shot. also we are thinking of turboing it so hopfually that goes good. i dont know if we could use it so wish me luck.

o_o Do NOT turbo this car...

If you added the injectors and didn't expect this to happen... and the car is not running 100%, you have no where near the knowledge to correctly turbo a N/T 4G63. There is a lot of internal work that you don't know about at the moment. Take it slow. Get this car up and running correctly first before you decide if you want to spend the money to turbo it where-as you can get it running good, sell it, and get a GST or GSX.

As for the Injectors. Where, exactly, are they cracked? Like.. the main body of it? Is it the round bottom base that's made of plastic? Pictures would help.

But as far as that Turbo comment... until you learn more about the car and have the knowledge of what that engine is.. there is no excuse for turboing it.
 
I bet the base grommet of the injector is what's cracked and those are easy replaceable items from the local Mitsu dealer..

Hit the yards and see if you can find a 4G63 NT motor out there with the injectors still in place. Bet you can grab all four of them for less than 40 bucks ..
 
oh yea i no about the turbo . but i work at a car shop now and the boss wants it turboed for free. and it just so happens that we have a 90 tsi awd with eagle rods and pistons so i am planning on getting running good then doing the turbo and selling everything of the talon so if you guys need anything off a awd let me now casue i am going to sell ever peacie. i am not taking this to the scap yard when other people could use the parts no brainer. rite so pm if need anything thanks guys and i will send pic of the talon and injecots asap k later guys,.:)
