Tried to find info on the removal of the door buzzer today but there wasn't much to go on other than the vague v-faq. So for those that get tired of hearing the buzzer any time they have the key in and door open then here is what you do.
1. Remove the knee pad below the steering wheel.
2. Remove the radio.
3. Locate the tong ends that belong to the buzzer connection, there is only one which is on the drivers side inside the radio space.
4. Reach up behind the black plastic behind the knee pad next to the centre console and you should feel a small box.
5. There is a screw holding it in place which you will have to remove by feel or maybe using locking pliers from in the radio compartment. (I did it by feel)
6. Now that you have the buzzer hanging loose unplug it and smash it with a hammer (or like me use it to check CEL codes).
7. Now just reassemble you dash
Doing it this way means that you still have functioning lights when you open the door.
