So i bought some HKS 272/272 cams and while installing them i found that you have to Drill/Tap the Intake Cam for the 2g CAS.

Well i have a 1g CAS laying around and i know theres a plug-play harness but id rather just make it from this thread:
RRE Instructions

Ive searched around and just find ppl that do the 1g CAS for 6bolt swaps but i wanted to know if i can put it in my 7bolt? with the cut harness of course...

1g CAS on a 97-99 motor will throw a random misfire CEL .. got a dsmlink?

Thats a huge misconception, there is a possibility that it will throw you that cel. But i've been running my 1g cas on my 6bolt swap with no such CEL. As for the OP Yeah you can run the cas as long as you use the harness.
