Picked up a 96 GSX over labor day and I'm running into idling issues. The mods are as follows:
"6 bolt block from a 90 GSX, 1g CAS with harness. Turbo Tuff rods and pistons. King bearings. The head is all GSC springs, valves, retainers. BC272 cams and HKS adjustable cam gears. 1250cc injectors. FP exhaust manifold. 20G turbo. Tial 35mm ewg. Punishment Racing recirculation O2 housing. Tuned at 15psi. Catless midpipe going to a Thermal R&D exhaust." - previous owner
So this is where I'm getting confused. The car has a 1g CAS and the previous owner had the ignition wires in this order 3-2-1-4 which I believe to be the correct order when swapping to a 1g CAS.
In this order the car would run for 10 seconds then shut off. I switched the order to 4-1-2-3 it then idled decently well until I turned it off.
I checked a few things and turned it back on and then it was idling high at around 2400 RPMs. Turned it off and back on and it was turning on and dying instantly. Swapped back to the 3-2-1-4 and it didn't do anything at all. Swapped back to the 4-1-2-3 firing order right after then it ran again and would idle.
Do I need to adjust the timing or re-pin the injectors as well or do I have a completely different issue all together?
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
