I have read a lot of "controversy" regarding bov venting to the atmosphere. I want to vent mine, for my own reasons, but I don't want to change from the 1g. Is this possible? :confused: Any help would be appreciated, and no flaming, please.
 
gm mas. thats kinda funny cause all the gm's i see are running around with their check engine lights on! LOL i wouldn't put any of that shit on my car. unless your really going for the gold. maybe you could figure a way to fit a LT1 engine into an eclipse too. gee wouldn't that be a pile of ass fuc%.

your stupidity is funny. go do some research on the gm maft and then come back and say how funny it is. It increases spool up time, reads more airflow and reads it better than the stock mas. Whys that so funny?
 
ok, sorry i don't want to be an ass. i just don't like the idea personally. some guys in fargo worked with them for a while then decided to go back to the 2g maf. one runs mid to low 11's and the other runs high 10's without nos. i really don't see the need for a street car to go any faster. But if a person is really serious about it, then ya go with the gm maf.

Oil in your intake does not mean your t25 is going south on ya. It means you should install a catch can to filter out the oil coming from the valve cover breather.
 
My BOV dumps exyernaly, I just took the greddy emanagement system and told it to add air when throttle position drops

Dont vent, it sucks and is for people who don't car about going fast. There is NO way to adjust or compensate for it unless you have Stand alone engine management (AEM, Haltech etc) or a GM Maf translator, eManage doens't count either... Other then that your venting cause your a rice boy.

Ummmm.... have you even touched a greddy emanage???? or are you still stuck using a S-AFC, LOL,,, a emanage can correct for atmospheric dump, its close to the same thing as a stand alone , just uses the factory censors, I run a external dump and have tuned it fine, and no I am not a ricer, my car I can garentee will smoke your shit. 10 sec GSX.
 
we dont get bov stock. we get cbv's. cbvs leak at idle and are intended to go into the intake. bov vent. do not vent a cbv.

like said above. quit beating the dead horse.

Before you start talking all kinds of smack on this site since your a noob and all, don't go throwing around word 10s sec because they are not in your vocabulary dude.

I had a look at your home page and setup and I can tell you now that you don't run 10s just by what you say. You have a delta gate (31mm) which will never control boost enough for that type of HP, and you obvioiusly dont know the first thing about nitrous. Nice intercooler piping too by the way, way too small to flow enough air for 10's.

Venom is one company, NOS is another, and Fogger is a style of wet nozzle from NOS. Venom are dry kits so they are not even technically a Fogger style system, they are also the wrong choice for a factory turbocharged car, espically one with eManage dude. Ahh nevermind you are stuck on the fast and furious and will always call is NOS no matter what I tell you.

And why does your site say a 12 second GST (which I also doubt) when you say your car is a 10sec GSX? The mods on that car are identical to your unelss it's a different car and you both have the same setup? Sounds a little fishy to me.

Regardless, know what your talking about first before you start spewing out numbers that you have no idea about.

I have a 99 GST with a greddy type-s. I bought the car with the BOV on it and im obviously venting and not recirculating. Why is it bad to vent? and what problems can I encounter later or possibly even now? Thanks!

I have a TurboXS RFL and its vented to the atmosphere... I dont have any problems with crappy idle, stalling, or running rich between shifts. People that dont have them hate em... and people who have them love em
