venting BOV to atmosphere?

what are the advantages/disadvantages to venting BOV to atmosphere, and would anybody recommend it over the recirculating set-up?
 
FourG is right, there is a million other threads on this. But to make it short and simple. Dont do it. Yea it makes kool noises but its not worth all the trouble it will put you through.
 
dude do a search, there is tons of info on this, this thread will probably get locked soon, but anyways the only reason why you would probably be better off venting is if your running a blow through system like using a gm maf sensor with the translator, other than that its kind of a waste to vent just to have the noise because you run rich durring shifting and usually cars that vent run like crap, now dont get me wrong there are some people that vent on the stock setup and dont have any problems including myself, but its usually not that smart to do
