Flyin miata has one that uses a wilwood powerlite in an interesting way for the Miata. It's not enough to lock to drift LOL. But it will hold up an incline.

Any progress on these Bobby? Hope everything is good. Cheers!
I have just got the new rear bearing/hub to go into the trailing arm so It's going to restart shortly once again! huge delay I know bit getting some parts over were tricky and people never got back to me on items so made it even longer of a process

Really looking forward to this, I have both Natfab subframes going on early June and this would be great to have ready by mid June latest. I can test it for you, it'll be at a pro suspension shop so you'll get real feedback in time.

PM me if that's possible, parking brake I think was in yours too.

It wont be that fast. I have not got the rear trailing arm together yet for it all to continue. I plan to do this shortly but other life plans are being done currently

Number of months ago I spoke to Bobby. we exchanged ideas. I had a few and he had a lot more. what he is doing to install 2 or 4 piston calipers on the rear is very difficult. I installed a set of rotors and a caliper off of a 96 corvette on my rears. it took over 40 hours of work to install them. If you have an idea let Bobby know.

FIBA Motorsport I vote for the 1g AWD 2 pistons calipers with the 300mm vented crossed/drilled rotors and the used of the brake handle as well I guess it would be simple and cost effective since lots of dsmers are on a tight budget some with families my point is make affordable enough to buy it from you and you still able to make a profit as well

As I stated before. Who makes a 2 piston rear caliper with an E-brake. I think I'm the only 1 that has a 12inch vented rotor with an E-brake. It is a PBR Corvette caliper with a 12 inch rotor.

Bobby will eventually get this, I'd assume a small 4 piston w E could be pulled off but the market, will Dsmers buy this to make it worth his time?

Pagosa, you really wanted rear Disc if it was 40+ hours of just labor let alone the time to plan and then part $. 👍

I am a hobby back yard fab person. It is the 1st set made for a 1st gen. Yes it took about 40 hours for me to make a set. I never seen a 2 or 4 piston with an E-brake. You let me know who makes it. It does not matter how long it took. It is called hot rodding. Time for you to make something for your car .

These people went even further, E stands for electric parking brake!!! Hahaha

I guess you could add a switch to the e brake handle and activate this Bobby in your new and better design. LOL

Why don't you buy these brakes and you build it

I'm already $50k into my restoration with body and interior to come, I'm good there playa.

I'm now mainly all my cars Owner/CEO/Coach/Driver. I recently ditched also being the main mechanic. I plan everything and get all the parts with install list but I'm not a 20-30YO car hobbiest anymore and spending a part time job of personal hours on my cars isn't a priority like it used to be. If you're still doing that cool, many enjoy all that and the down time issues and even chaos but...

The tone in your question sounds like someone who is about to talk down to members who don't enjoy their car mods the way you do, hope that wasn't the bullet in your reply gun was it?

Brother I'll take the Corvette calipers with the rotors with the brackets I guess fiba Motorsports can improve on them as long as we get a little extra bite with the bigger rotors I don't see a down side here I don't really care for a 2 or 4 pistons calipers the idea is to keep it cost effective and affordable to the dsmers I'm sure it FIBA Motorsports just redesign the brackets for the 1ga rear AWD rotors people be jumping on it for sure

I never said E brake or hydraulic fluid parking brake either I'm all for the manual brake handle I believe the PBR brake calipers with the Vette rotors are the way to go all FIBA has to do is revised the brackets for the calipers and rotors plus the dust shield that should be a great solution for the budget dsmers not to mention a really easy parts to find at your local auto parts store

I offered Bobby the plans. Bobby does not think there would be any demand for them. Let him know.i am the 1st with the PBR calipers. I think there might be a better set up.

Both 2 and 4 will be offered since the 2G has 4 piston, the 1G DSM may also need them to offset the Front brake balance for those using the 6 piston fronts.
We do not want the rears to NOT have enough bite and be lacking vs the front caliper. So based on that, both will be offered to everyone's budget and requirements

I have been asked for electronoc and it is possible but man it adds so much cost! If someone is dead set on that kind of setup, I can do that but it is going to be like 1% of people so even the development of it would be higher for not much gain.

As we discussed before, the reason I do not wish to go that route as we ALL can make parts from brands and make do with what's on the shelf. But for me and FIBA as a brand, it is NOT the way we wish to proceed. Sure we could buy Brembo calipers and resell them and CTSV and willwood etc etc, And so on, but then we're no better than a lot of others who go the easy route! FIBA Motorsport likes to innovate and set new standards and design and make the products. after all. FIBA Motorsport was and is still a DSMer and will always be one! The reason I set up this brand was to make a change in the chassis and development from a side never explored before.

Coming from developing products for Ferrari and Aston, plus building chassis and parts, gave me personally an advantage many do not have, and this is why over the years it has expanded into the OEM sector, but why we pride ourselves on being unique and standout.

By all means, you are very welcome to list your vette setup for people in the freelancer section to mimic, but for US, we wish to stick to our designed and developed items as the FIBA Motorsport brand and thus forward will be doing that for many years to come. This is how we wish to progress and keep moving forwards.

Yes, it may take time, but development is not always fast or cheap, but it is here! FIBA is for the DSMers and here to stay. All sales we get go directly to the development of new and exciting products, unlike spending on the major brands who wish to get profits and do not give a damn about you personally or even know you on this level!

FIBA do you have any ideas when this calipers would be available to the public on another note I was wondering if you are interested on design I plate for the 1g and 2g rear bumper above the exhaust pipe back in the early 90'S and 2000'S I'm pretty sure Greddy and HKS make them to protect the bumper cover from the exhaust pipe heat it would be nice to have them again

Ok brother do you best I'm sure the final product fiba brings out would be nothing but excitement BTW how is those 1g brakes dust shield coming along

Not yet no. There was some development issues and then a few adjustments and redesigns and then the move was starting so it also added to the delays. Will see what can be done this coming year (2026) to have the 1G rears done in all versions.

The rears are pretty much done. The fronts are another whole problem. I need a front hub now to see about making a press tool so that it can be pressed in like the OEM one is. So a bit trickier to do but should end up working out ok. This will also be modular for those wanting to upgrade rotor sizes later on as like the 2G and Evo versions are like.

If you're still looking for a way to do a parking brake on a 1g. I've stated before both flyin miata, and also v8roadsters for the Miata use a wilwood. I believe they also use this caliper on some datsun conversions.
