absolute_DSM said:Too broad of a question.. but I wonder what part(s) of the drivetrain will swap. Im sure as long as you keep 7 bolt to 7 bolt and 6 bolt to 6 bolt you are good. And of course the Auto rear end to the Auto trans and the Man rear end to the Man trans.
ChvyKc said:That has nothing to do with it. The majority of the guys that have 6 bolt swaps in 2G's have the original tranny still in there. The tranny still bolts up to the block the same way.
The rear ends thing that you said doesn't make any sense either. I don't know what you are talking about and the original poster needs to be a little more specific. The only difference in rear ends comes in the 1G's between whether the rear end is either a 3-bolt or the stronger 4-bolt. You can end up with a 92, if you get lucky, that has both a 6-bolt block and a 4-bolt rear end.
There are people on here that can help you with whatever you need but we need to know what you want. Be a little more specific and I am sure that someone can answer you question. As far as putting a 6-bolt 1G tranny in 2G (if that was what the original poster was asking), I have no idea. Someone else would have to answer that one for you.
