2G 1g 7 bolt in 2g and it wont rev

So i've done some research and I cant find anything, so if someone one here has some advise or has come acrossed the same issue,please give me some guidance.

So I had a 2g with a rod knock and I intended on putting a 6 bolt in it. ANyways, that didnt happen so i dropped in a 7bolt motor for a 1g that i got for $300.

There is no tps hooked up and I dont think this would cause this particular problem but figured I would state it it.

The car will not rev. It will run and idle between 800-1000rpm but the moment I touch the pedal it will bog and die. It idles just fine, just wont rev any. There is no boost leaks, the maf is hooked up and I tried 2 diffrent ones with the same results.

Thats the issue, your TPS is not hooked up, Fix that.

The TPS, Throttle Position Sensor is what tells the ECU what percentage it is ope and is used in air flow calculations.

Guess ill be wiring it up tomorrow. wires were cut because the connector was snagged for another project. Didnt intend on putting this thing back on the road. Ill keep everyone informed tomorrow when i get her all wired up!
