It may be highly unsafe to be that close to the track when cars are going that fast down the track but I dont think anyone complained. Enjoy the fun while we can because when someone gets hurt thats the end of it. I know I completly enjoyed standing right alonng the sides of cars running over 40psi with dump tubes antilagging while I feel the pulses smack me in the face and in the chest. I Couldn't get enough of it. For those of you that dont go to englishtown shootout it is VERY BORING!!! in terms of excitement like that. Things are almost too safe. the stand are so far away from the track everything looks like hotwheels cars. and the fastest cars there last year were trailered in and didn't get out of the tens. At the shootout you see 9 and ten second cars get driven around on the street all weekend and thrashed on all day at the track. Although it doesn't compare to the shootout, I'll still go just because its a dsm meet.

Mike- Not sure exactly where your leak is but if its the flexible piece of your drain tube just cut it out and get a short hose and two clamps to put on there. I realize normal hose will swell over time but it should get you home. When you get home you can get silicone hose for it. Shouldn't be more then 15-20 bucks to fix it. Hope you make out alright.

Ok so I stopped at some gas station in new Mexico, busted out my floor jack and tools, got underneath her and tried to see if I can fix the leak. I tightened a clamp for the oil drain and it seems to have stopped the leak. I'm gonna stop again soon and check my oil level to see if it actually fixed it.

There are always one or two morons that sit on the walls with their feet dangling in the track, but they get warned pretty quick to screw their head on straight and stay behind the barrier.

I heard the announcer telling someone to not let their feet dangle, also when he told a lady she should be watching the races instead of reading a book. He was funny this year

Did any one go to Buschurs shop and see the drag evo sitting out side along with 10 other Evo's and no one there.
If they did that around where I live they would not be there for long someone would steal them .I would never leave my car out like that.

@J-speed99 -- I didn't care for those cars either, they didn't run as often and it wasn't a giant production every time they did. Im with with the old days were if it wasn't DSM powered it didn't run.

I agree, this is the DSM/EVO shootout. All the camaros, the vette(who decided to flip of the evo he was running mid way down track), the absolutely annoying rx7, If it aint 4g63, it shouldnt run. Only exception here is the evo X.

Im with dave on if it aint a 4g powered car, it cant run. Last year, nothing but 4g cars ran, if I remember. If the rx7 needed a licensing pass, so be it, he didnt need to run 5 times. He should have been there Friday night for the test and tune. It was just annoying to me. And yes, if it did break, I think a lot of people would have been pissed to see this car, thats getting in our way, break and hold us up.

I actually think it may have been last year that they started allowing other cars to run the t&t portion. I agree that it was better to only allow 4g63's with the exception of the X's. I understand that they're trying to get people excited about the Hyundai's too, but I'm thinking until they start actually doing something with them might as well leave them at home too. Of course, they probably started allowing these other runs because of the opposite complaints in the past, can't keep everyone happy. Oh well.

I remember seeing some non-4g powered cars in 2009, as well. The one that stood out the most was a Viper that was racing with the top down.... since usually that's not allowed.

I honestly don't have a problem with seeing other cars run in the TT group.

The line gets kinda blurry when you start denying some cars over others since these manufacturers like to use eachother's engines and such now.

I wouldnt have a problem with it if it was just filler...like near the end of the day while waiting for racers to get to the lanes or allowing cool down time, etc. I certainly would rather watch that them nothing at all.
