Shootout 2011. In my eyes it gwets better every year. As soon as I got in my car to leave at 6pm for the ride home I was already wishing it was august 2012 for the next one. I think I met everyone I wanted to meet and one person I met that thought would be nice and found out hes not so interesting of a person but thats not a big deal. Any ways. here is who I got to meet for the first time or hang out with again since its been two years since I was at the shootout.

Dave (sand rail)- You and your entire michigan crew is AWESOME!!! Even the people from michigan that were across from you on the end closer to me were awesome. Once again thank you for your hospitality.

There are numerous others but those are the people that stick out the most. Dont be offended if I forgot you. My mind was in dsm overload all weekend.

So many good times. Almost got into several bad situations with the rain getting into ohio but it paid off when I pulled into the campground. Set up camp made my rounds and shared a few cold ones with my friends while I made several laps around the campground and near by hotel just enjoying all the dsm talk. ( i think I have a dsm problem) . Later that night I had an issue with a certain member. Laughed about it later with the people that were witness.
Saturday was the car show. I have alot of new ideas to say the least. Thank god my fiance and and budget don't allow for half of them. Despite the threat of rain we went to cedar point and had a good time. We lost my friend aaron for two hours in the park. needless to say that made for some jokes for the rest of the trip. Saturday night involved having a few cold ones and making the rounds having good ol' dsm talk. Went to sleep. Woke up at 330-4am to one of the most intense storms I was ever in. Exspecially for being in a tent. Insides of the tents thankfully stayed dry for my friends and I.
Sunday morning greeted us with rain delays at the track and a slight uncertainty if we were going to have a shootout at all. Ofcourse for those that were there we all know how epic it was. I'm not sure if it was me or not but when I got to see Shep standing next to his talon after his first run and I got to say hi and say it was nice to see the talon back out after so many years he looked happier driving that then his evo. I was amazed at the amount of transmission related failures and then amazed at the amount of people running twin disk clutches. (Possible Connection?hmmmmmm!) Due to my work schedule though we were forced to leave at 6pm so I didn't even get to see any real good runs, just the qaulifiers and time only stuff.

I can't wait for next year. Maybe I'll finally trailer my car out and run it.
My car got 27 mpg average and my Fiances 2g got 28.5. My friend with his Lexus got 40mpg. I took atleast 100pics and videos that will eventually find there way on facebook this week I hope and Alex took about 600 pictures and videos total.

Ok guys. My novel is done. Sorry for the long read. I'm just excited and hope as next year approaches more people get amped up and decide to come out to celebrate 20 years of dsm/evo shootout.
