Besides the oil and boost gauge in the Gst/Gsx cluster, there's no difference in tachs for 2gs. I've seen 2g turbo dsms run Evo Ecus but I also doubt the wiring harness from a non turbo is extremely different to a gst or gsx. From what I've heard, you use the evo harness in junction with the 420a one. Ill figure that out once i fix all the current issues it has.

Nah, you can swap in the GST/GSX/Spyder instrument cluster in place of the 420a, or just swap the 4g63 tach into the 420a instrument cluster. The 420a tach is design around the 420a ignition system and will not work with the 4G6x ignition system. But to have the tach to function properly with the Evo style ignition system, use the ignition failure sensor. It basically a tach sensor: it sends signal to the tach based on the spikes of the coils firing. I use an Evo style ignition on my Galant, check it out in my profile.

UPDATE: Finally got around to welding the transmission mount up around 6" on the chasis.

Decided to remove the front crossmember due to having to modify it to clear the 3G transmission housing and Evo Mishimoto half radiator.

Installed some Oem 3G axles and waiting on some performance tires to mount on its new Gramlights wheels! Now focusing on clearing the 3G starter, wiring and installing all the bolt ons.

UPDATE:

Dsm is finally back on its feet after 5 months! Was able to get a set of Federal RSR-R tires that just arrived into the US. (Great R-compound tire at the price)

Got them mounted and balanced onto the new Rays Gramlight wheels and I'm extremely happy it looks like a car again!


Trying to contact Road Race for wiring, looking at it like this got me motivated to finally finish it off

Yes, we originally grinded off a portion of it to give the transmission bell-housing room to play while driving. Once we saw the crossmember also hit the radiator, we decided to remove it completely. Might have to get some sort of tubular crossmember made in the near future.

that's what I'm thinking at the moment but would have to extend the front roll stopper to the trans as well.

Very nice. As others have asked, what are the specs on the wheels? They seem to poke slightly from the front fenders and by the looks of the tires seem like 17x9's? Maybe 30mm offset?

Went out of country for two months so I was not able to touch it, but I just got back and bought a manifold that will be modified to clear the 3G starter. Wiring is also now in the works!

UPDATE:

It was finally time to take the Dsm out the house and to the shop, so onto a flatbed it went.

Fuel lines, walboro 255 fuel pump and Fuel Lab Fpr were set up.

Harness was then routed throughout the car and motor.

Wiring was finally finished!

Everything on the car has power to it, so we moved onto making a custom manifold spacer (temporary) to clear the starter.

Now working on its final touches before its first startup!
