2G 1995 to 1997 Rear bumper conversion

I have a 1995 Eclipse and need to replace the rear bumper. I found an available 97 rear bumper and I know that the reverse lights are different. Will the 1995 wiring work directly with the newer model reverse lights or will it require some splicing? Also, I'm pretty sure they're the same, but is the 1997 bumper any different fitment wise? Thanks, sorry for the noob questions.

Everything will work as long as you get the reverse light sub harness to plug in.
