2G 1995 Talon TSI - Do I have a 6-bolt or 7-bolt?

Hello guys I have a 1995 eagle talon tsi new to this plat form so I don’t know much I am wondering if somebody can tell me if I have a 6 bolt motor or 7 bolt I want to buy a intake manifold for my motor and bigger injectors and some cam gears but I don’t know if it’s a 6 bolt or 7 bolt thanks guys !!!!

If it is original, it is a 7-bolt. See: 1G vs 2G Comparison

But we have no idea to tell whether it is original by the pictures and information you've provided us.

From there, you'll find multiple results searching on this site that will point you towards the information you need to determine what engine block you have. This is a good start: How to quickly tell a 6bolt and 7bolt apart

Also something important to note here that none of the components you mentioned wanting to upgrade matter in the least whether your engine is a 6-bolt or 7-bolt. You would need to verify for the intake manifold whether the head you have is from a 1G or 2G. There are plenty of threads here on this subject as well.

Please consider creating a vehicle profile with as much information as you may have about the car. Without a vehicle profile, we can only make assumptions and, at this point, it doesn't seem like you need to upgrade your intake manifold at all. But let us know what your goals are for the car and that, paired with your vehicle's profile, will help this community guide you to reaching those goals without needlessly spending money on things that may not provide that much of a benefit.

Looks like you have a 7 bolt based on your intake manifold. Looks to be original.

It's not even a 6 bolt 7 bolt thing. 92.5-94 had 7 bolts with 1g heads. Your IM has the MAP on top, so that's a 2g head > 2g manifold > "7 bolt".

Anyways, why are you changing the manifold? I see you have a J-pipe, so you have a TDo5 turbo. Probably a 16g. Why do you want to shift the powerband with a different manifold?

And why do you want cam gears? I'm not even sure you can use them with your 2ga style CAS.

Are you out of fuel? What injectors do you have?

I'd just leave it alone man. Whoever did the car looks like they knew what they were doing, and well based on you being new and the questions you asked,,, I'd just leave it alone man.

I looks like there is both a 2g MAF and a GM Hotwire MAS. I wonder which is being used.

Check the numbers on the transmission side of the block
