Edmonton,
so i am having a problem with my 91 talon tsi

i just had my motor rebuilt and now it wont start..

when i had the motor rebuilt everything was fine and we put the old battery in it that sat on the ground for about 5months and the car would not start with out
a boost so the mechanic took the car for a drive with the booster pack on there and it drove fine he said and then all of the sudden the car just died.
so he has clamied to me that he has changed a bunch of parts here are sum ignition coil, ecu, ecu realy, coolant temp sens, maf-t, brand new battery, also he said he checked that
the altentor is fine. so the car wants to start but just wont goo like it turns over and over but wont goo..
what do u think could be wrong or needs to be changed any ideas will work thanks..

it seems like you checked all of the ignition side of the car and the charging system but what about the fuel side? Is the gas low, is the fuel pump gone is the gas bad inside the car? Check to make sure u have fuel pressure and that fuel is being delivered to the injectors.

so i am geting fuel spark and i changed the cam agngle sensor and i still have nothing the bi*** wants to start buy just wont ####ing go.. anyone got any other ideas???

also about the gas there was some in the tank for a few months during the rebuild but be4 we started it i put in about another 20L so could that be it too?

i would recommend starting fluid! have you tried that? when i rebuilt an engine the same things were happening. Like the first time ever cranking the engine it started and I let it idle up to operating temperature. Turned it off waited like about 30 minutes. tried it again and it wouldnt start. so i put some starting fluid and it started just fine.. haven't put starting fluid since. Also you might want to check the engine ground cables.

just my two cents!

When I had this problem right after my rebuild it was a faulty coolant temp sensor connector and not the sensor itself. The wiring was very brittle from the under hood temps. I ended up using spade connectors and about 18 inches of wire to rig it so it would work and almost 2 years later and still holding strong.
