I will be as organized and detailed as possible
The car:
1991 Eagle Talon TSI AWD (1G 4G63)
Built motor with TD06 20G turbo setup, high flow injectors, cylinders bored .2 over, catless exhaust and everything else you would expect with a fully built motor.
220,000 kms (136,700 miles)
The issue:
Thick clouds of white smoke coming from tailpipe once the car is warm.
Some smoking coming from under the exhaust headers.
Oil leakage coming from downpipe/hotside turbo area. (Cant pinpoint exact source)
Massive oil consumption (Only when the smoke is present, otherwise oil consumption is very normal)
Large amounts of oil residue in tailpipe.
When it happens:
I live in alberta canada so it gets very cold here in the winter.
The smoke is only present when the car has spent the night on the street in -13F weather. It burns for about 30-45 mins and then stops. If I start the car anytime after that in the same day it runs like normal.
If it overnights in the garage, or if it is started after the engine is already warm it runs like a dream with no issues.
It does not happen in the summer.
It seems to go away after I build boost a couple times.
Other notes:
Oil on dipstick is clean, oil leaking from engine bay is black.
Had a mechanic friend look at it and we ruled out head gaskets for sure and most likely ruled out piston rings.
Any Insight would be greatly appreciated!
