1G 1991 cruise control pump on 1990

I have searched on dsmtuners but i could not find clear answer that s why i had to create a new article..Actually I had a plan about ABS retrofit. By the way i have 1990 talon so you know they have different cruise control system between 1990 and 1991. So for my abs project i need space for ABS pump that s why I can not use CC with 1990 so I bought 1991 CC system not CC ecu just bought CC mechanic parts..I looked at the 1990 CC ecu and it has 20 pins otherwise 1991 CC ecu has 26 pins Actually I never seen my CC ecu before i mean I don t know howmany pins CC ecu uses? anyway My aim is replacing 1991 CC to my car..I guess 1990 Talon's CC is fully electronic controlled system I read on dsmtuners..Can i do this replacement on my car? M CC uses same port as 1991 they are LY LR LW LB if it possible I think 1991 CC needs vacuum line how to get this vacuum line to 1991 CC..I hope you can help me thanks.

I also have a 90 w/CC, so understand the conflict. Interesting that you want to add ABS, when most folks seem intent to delete it. Probably a good call, though, for daily driver. Mine does not have it, and I kind of doubt both features were available together that year.?? Have you considered putting the ABS pump in the cabin? I can’t think of enough unused room under hood, unless you can move the CC.

WTF??? Dude, do other mods, adding ABS, changing CC systems. You have too much spare time.

I have a similar deal. My 90GGSX is missing the cruise and all I have is 91+ stuff. It will require a lot of wiring changes. You'll need to check the electrical manuals.

I see these mods as no less relevant than a lot of the elaborate performance or other morphing efforts; MAF/ECU/boost/fuel/I.C upgrades, M/T to A/T, FWD to AWD, etc. I swapped my US front belts for Canadian. All depends on what you like. ABS and cruise are as standard on modern hi-po cars as wipers and AC.

thanks for replies Previous owner removed the CC and I thought I didn t have ABS so I search about diagrams and i said myself i can do that but first of all i need to replace 91 CC to my 90 talon that s why i asked to you..I can see electric diagrams of 1991 but i can not find detail diagrams of 1990 but cables are same as 1990 that s why i thought it uses same harness maybe different pin numbers..
there are 4 cables for cruise control actuator for 1991 and also 1990 and cables are the same but pin out are different if i change pin out it will work out?

Photos of wiring diagram from a 90 fsm. Sounds like you’re pretty sharp with wiring, at least compared to me (a low bar, admittedly). I’m sure you’ll find a way to make it work. I actually received the vacuum-style mechanical parts as a ‘bonus’ in a shipment of other parts I bought from a forum member (shout out jerseyGSX); it’s yours free if you want it, though I can’t speak to its condition or function.

I have a both volumes of 1990 FSM in paper, and simply took photos of those. Got them on eBay when I first bought my car. Around $100.

I have a request from you. Can you share the electrical diagrams of the cooling system? I don't know if my car is maded up to April or after May. How can I learn this?

The Vin plate at the base of the driver’s door pillar has the mfr date. I’ll try to get those diagrams later today.

Hello I installed the cruise control as you know i installed 91 CC to my 1990 talon..When i turn the column switch to down so orange bulb is turning on after then i push the little button on cloumn its working but it s not stucking on my speed but speed is going up not stops so i had to press brake pedal or clutch.so nice to know it s stopping when press the brake and clutch pedal but sometimes it s going deactived even i did not push or press anything.I see green bulb on dash before activating i adjusted throttle cable but i did it on CC's black box because there is no space for throttle cable..So can you explain me why my CC is not stucking on my speed?
