18g compressor wheel

this is probably a stupid question, but will the 18g compressor wheel fit in the evo3 compressor housing? i asume that it will since FP sells the 18g with different options of housings.

No,it won't fit because the 18g wheel is bigger,but if you get the evo 3 compressor cover machined it will.Are you trying to make a different version of a sleeper 16g?

The Big 16G, 18G, and 20G compressor wheels all have the same backplate dimension and exducer size. This means the Big 16G wheel will fit pn an 18G or 20G center housing, and vice versa. The inducer size between the three wheels is different. Consequently, trim would also differ between the three mentioned wheels.

The compressor housing, however, will have to be machined. There are many turbo shops that can perform this service, including G-Pop and Deadbolt Enterprises.

thanks i was just trying to see what would happen if you mix the two. (18gin and 16g ex.) does anyone know where i could find the specs on the two turbos
