I am not sure i bought it with the bent blade. I took the compressor housing off and the rest was fine. It just bugs me cause it sounds supercharged.

I'll second that. And once it's out of balance, the shaft seals are under a lot more stress than normal, so you'll be looking at replacing those sooner than later. I had a 16g that started out looking like your photo, got progressively worse, and in about 8 months was blowing smoke.

When you swap the wheel you should consider getting the turbo rebalance.

I've seen much worse damage that that to turbos that still boosted just fine. My buddy's Frank 5 20G has large chunks missing from two compressor blades and it's still boosting strong after two hard seasons.

Balance is crucial, yes; but I believe it's not as crucial as some may think. I've seen turbos with horrible damage to the turbine wheel come into my shop with zero shaft play- they still boosted as hard as a new turbo. In fact, the customers were shocked to find out the turbine was damaged as well as the turbo performed.

My buddy's Frank 5 sounds totally normal; a Small 16G with a mangled compressor wheel that a friend of mine ran on his Honda sounded completely normal, too. The supercharger sound would probably exist if the turbo was extremely out-of-balance.

My turbine blade on my 14b is missing chunks out of numerous blades and its been fine for thousands of miles at 20psi.

Personally i would just leave it until it needed a serious rebuild. When you switch out wheels you need to have them balanced then you might as well get new bearings and seals and such. Just my personal opinion.
