16g will not build boost

I put a TD05H (16g) turbo on im g2 Talon and it ran grate now wont build any boost past 0psi. Has any body had this happen?

have you done a boost leak test also check shaft play on your turbo.

Check to see if the wastegate is stuck open first, also make sure your bov vacuum line is hooked up.

i cant find a leak but havnt pulled the the turbo off to check the waste gate

is the waste gate sticking open a common problem ???

i have heard it was on the ebay turbo setups can't say for sure,

You dont need to pull the turbo off to check the wastegate, just put a set of vise grips on the rod for the wastegate and pull towards the exhaust side. It might take a bit of pulling. And if the turbo is used whether its a ebay 16g or mhi, carbon build up or rust can make the wastegate stick open

I don't know about the wastegate thing, although i have heard of that problem before, but in my experience it has always been from boost leaks. I really badly need to get an aftermarket FMIC. Check for leaks in obvious spots like the j pipe area, the lower ic pipes, and the couplers on the intercooler outlet and inlet. Also check the throttle body elbow and the bov. Good Luck
