Hey, all. Quick question.

Is it possible to move the clocked position of the waste gate actuator nipple? With the massive FP intake there is literally zero room and it would be smashing into the silicone coupler. I've got the offset 4x2.5 from extreme psi.

Thank you for your time and any suggestions!

Rob

Rob, its been so long since I ran a stock frame turbo, are the 2 bolt holes symmetrical on the WG or is the gate spot welded to the bracket? If it is bolted, flip the WG upside down and bolt it back on and test.
If it is welded, can you curve the boost reference nipple outwards without kinking it?

Hey, Marty.

Yes, it is welded.

Not sure how much she'll bend but it appears my only choice! Lol

Dam, well just take it slow and no SHARP bends and it should be fine. I think I did run into an issue like this a long time ago and I did that, bent it a bit so it would clear the intake tube.

Ok, cool.

Thanks Marty. I'll take it slow and easy with just enough to clear the boot!

I carefully bend all mine as well. Besides kinks the only other thing to watch out for is where it connects to the gate itself. Can crack pretty easy and leak.
Awesome, thank you for the heads up!

I wonder if a 90 degree hard fitting coupled together would be worth trying. Hm.

It’s pretty thin so it’ll be kinda hard to thread a fitting on there. And of course welding something on is out of the question also. I’d just carefully bend it out of the way and move along on that one.

Yes sir, worked out just fine with a little bend! Thank you.
I've got it running and even took a trip down off the mountain to top the tank off with some 93 today! Alignment tomorrow, then hoping to finish the exhaust so I can post some logs up for some tuning advice. Runs great, though! Got into a little boost coming up the mountain, temps never got over 195. 🤘🤘

Glad it all worked out. Super clean car btw!

Thank you, I appreciate that! It's the first DSM I've ever built and it's been a blast. Couldn't have done it without the tuners community. 💪💪🤙
