20g internal WG actuator setup?

Ok, here's my question. I just put an internally gated 20g on my 93 gsx. I ported the turbine housing so the wastegate flapper door would open at a 90 degree angle. however, I am having trouble getting the actuator positioned so it will extend far enough to open the gate all the way. Anyone with 20g internal gates have pics I can look at? any tips? TIA

The flapper will never open 90 degrees. a stock type actuator only has like 1/2" of throw. The only reason people port behind the door so it opens more is so they can get inside the hole easier while porting. The way ours is set up, it'll hold anywhere from 15-30psi solid.

Thanks, very helpful. Guess I'll go hunt down some 1/2 inch aluminum to make a plate. dah! it never stops! thanks again. JW... did you rotate the compressor housing at all?

You don't need 1/2", I think ours is 1/4". There's a template at VFAQ you can print. We did have to clock the compressor housing counter-clockwise enough for the actuator rod to clear the housings, which makes it impossible to use the stock fan, otherwise no problems.
